Crandall Hall at the University

I was doing some research on-line and saw that your university has a Crandall Hall on the campus.
I was hoping you could tell me who the hall is named after? Just wondering if it was Prudence Crandall.

Thank you in advance for any info --

Crandall Hall at Alfred University was built in 1858 by Ira Babcock Crandall as a private home. It was later inherited by William H. Crandall. When the University acquired it, they named it Crandall Hall in honor of these two men.

The Crandall Health Center at Alfred University was named after Anna Laura Crandall whose bequest helped pay for the building's construction in 1966.
