Can you help me find articles on salary options for seasonal employees? Also, anything related to professional lawn/snow care. Thank you

Answer

Thanks for your question.  I would start by getting some basic information from a Google search.  I searched for the terms: seasonal employee and got many subquestions such as: can seasonal employees apply for unemployment? what is the difference between a full-time, a variable hour and a seasonal employee? What are the differences from state to state? And more...

Once you've gotten a little background and decided which questions you want to answer, you could go to our blank box (Google-like) search on the Herrick library home page for articles:  http://herrick.alfred.edu. You could then type in seasonal employee (or another term if it fits your needs better) and perhaps add unemployment and the name of the state you are most interested in. If you still have a large subset of articles, then you might try snow removal or lawn care.  You could try to put all of the search terms in at once, but if you don't get any results, just try seasonal employee and keep adding search terms until you get down to a manageable number of articles.

Hope this is helpful, please let us know if you need additional assistance,
